BSIF Safety Awards 2010 are now open for entries
The BSIF Safety Awards 2010, which will be presented at the RoSPA Safety Awards Dinner on Tuesday 11th May, are now open for entries. Taking place alongside Safety & Health Expo 2010, the awards recognise excellence within the safety industry, excellence in customer service, product innovation and improving occupational health and safety.
Awards will be distributed in three categories:
• Product Innovation
This is an award for products that are new and innovative and will contribute to improvements in occupational safety & health• Service Awards
This award, which is voted on by the entrants’ own customers, is for companies in the safety field offering exceptional and innovative service solutions.• Safety Excellence
Based upon case studies submitted by members, these awards recognise major improvements in occupational safety created in 2009/2010.Companies are invited to enter through the Safety & Health Expo website and the deadline for entries is Friday 5th March. Entry for BSIF members is £50 + VAT, whilst non-members will be charged £120 + VAT for each entry.

Safety & Health Expo, Europe’s largest annual health and safety event, is returning on 11 – 13 May 2010 to the NEC Birmingham. The event, which will be hosted in partnership with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), was a huge success in 2009 attracting more than 19,000* industry professionals to the show.
More than 300 industry renowned companies will showcase their latest developments at the extensive exhibition, including 3M, ARCO, BM Polyco, British Red Cross, Connaught Compliance Training Services, Draeger, Moldex, Safety Media, Scott Health & Safety, Sperian and Totectors.
Education will once again take centre stage at Safety & Health Expo 2010 with four dedicated seminar theatres throughout the show: The SHP Legal Arena, the Product and Innovation Hub, the IOSH Stand Theatre and the new AIF Knowledge Base.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to take time to relax at the event in the Blackberry Café.
