Triple eyecare expertise offered by Specsavers

Specsavers Corporate Eyecare is offering a triple dose of eyecare expertise at the Safety & Health Expo 2010. Visitors to the stand will benefit from skilled advice on safety eyewear, Visual Display Unit (VDU) eyecare and new eyesight-related driving regulations.

Safety eyewear
The Specsavers Corporate Eyecare team will be on hand to explain their Safety Eyewear Vouchers. Safety Managers simply buy the vouchers directly from Specsavers, distribute them to the relevant employees and they can then redeem them at any Specsavers Opticians store. There is no time-consuming administration or bureaucracy associated with multiple suppliers, agents and dispensers. It is an easy, controllable process and offers exceptional value for money. The vouchers come in three denominations:
£36.81 - pays for a pair of single vision safety glasses (an additional £36.81 voucher purchases bifocal or varifocal lenses)
£53.81 - pays for a sight test and a pair of single vision safety glasses (an additional £36.81 voucher purchases bifocals or varifocals)
£12.62 - pays for an extra lens benefit, such as toughened glass, polycarbonate lenses, UV protection and anti-reflective coatings (£12.62 voucher x 2 for UltraClear coating)
There is a choice of over 30 safety frame variations, available in both metal and plastic. The frames come in a variety of colours and have a modern look, coupled, of course, with the highest safety features.

VDU eyecare
By law, employees using VDUs should be provided with an eye examination, funded by their employer, when requested. If glasses are needed specifically for VDU use, the employer is obliged to pay. The team will be available to explain the intricacies of the legislation and the simplicity of their VDU eyecare vouchers. For just £17, each voucher provides:
• a full eye examination
• if needed solely for VDU use, a pair of glasses from the £45 range, fitted with Standard PENTAX CR39 single vision lenses plus a scratch-resistant treatment
or a £45 contribution towards other frame ranges
Premium Club, which is built into every voucher, offers a further £20 contribution when glasses are selected from the £99 range or above, thus giving a combined contribution of £65. Specsavers Corporate Eyecare is offering a free Guide to VDU Legislation, which can be collected by any visitors to their stand at the Safety & Health Expo 2010.

Driving guide
Legislation passed in the EU parliament, due to be introduced in member states in 2011, sets new standards of vision for both commercial and private drivers. With Health and Safety managers keen to understand their current responsibilities and the implications of the new legislation, Specsavers Corporate Eyecare is offering a free Guide to Driving Legislation, which can be collected by any visitors to their stand at the Safety & Health Expo 2010.
